I saw the headline and immediately thought, "That was written by a conservative white guy, wasn't it?"

After a quick web search - yes, Mr. Wehner was a speechwriter for three former Republican Presidents. He'll no doubt be one of the many talking/writing heads to assert that Democrats should tread lightly with their power and not do things like impeach Trmp, should Dems win both chambers of Congress with commanding margins.

Thanks as always.

Welcome to GOP America they love with Citizens United allowing our government to be purchased like buying contractors to do their job for them to rule. To buy SCOTUS justices you groomed to wear black robes with the ability to somewhat write things that sort of sound legally constitutional. To purchase the presidency and majorities in congress to redirect tax dollars to them instead of those unworthy Americans want.

How they can razzle dazzle us with exterminating that evil DEI using tax dollars to fill their pockets even doing this.
Firing a woman and black military officers because they say, DEI". While still recruiting people into the military using that same DEI.
How the GOP says they are the real Americans because they are republicans, They are true religious Christians and that oath of office they all swore on by their God is niit even attempted to be upheld.
Why do the GOP not legislate for their voters some ask. It is that they were purchased and by the real Americans and contracted to do their job. Not voters.

By the way, Where is all the evil George Soros's buying up all the media to propagandize the Rubes, as the GOP calls their fellow Americans.

There is an article to be written about the long slow slide from the Chamber of Commerce/country club/WASP/isolationist (sometimes) Republican party to the 3-headed monster of today, but no Republican will ever dare write it. Documenting the greed, power lust, and cowardice would turn their brains to jell-o and have a fatwa issued on them by the RNC.

There's also a great story in how Trump took over the institution of the Republican party after stealing their voter base away from them. Bureaucratic manuvers, death threats, funding and support vanishing before a candidate's eyes. Same problem.

And it is the rare, very rare republican (ex-republican now(?) Stuart Stephens that exposed the truth about the GOP's so-called "free-market" - "capitalism" based agenda: "Donald Trump did not change the republican party, he revealed it" - Also Stephens' Book: "It Was All a Lie"

And again a rarity; David Frum who named it = (the GOP's so-called "capitalism" based agenda): "It's time to use the F-word" (fascism)
