I would call it an urban legend of sorts but after asking "cui bono"---the 'centrists'---it becomes apparent it's actually a dastardly lie.
There is another way to look back at media of the past.
For instance, When News papers were at their apex. They had not only the business section but a labor section of the paper as well.
They would print employment opportunities where companies would be hiring. Reports on union strikes and progress.
Today the business section is basically Wall street and big business speculations of growth to advertise to buy shares of their stock.
The opinion section was usually a well thought fact based journalistic report on an issue.
Today we get the two sides of buttered bread.
For instance; Some say vaccines prevent serious illness and others say vaccines are a way for the government o inject a tracking device in you and fill you with a mind control drug.
The old world is round and world is flat debate.
This is from wealthy being up media for the purpose of narrating the news as Rupert Murdoch has proven.
I mean look where Bezos bought WAPG and how it changed. to suit the gold plating of the tin can.
Bit, they still print the Obits.............
Gee, I wonder why monied interests would want Democrats to "move to the center"? Politically speaking, are monied interests very popular? Ah, perhaps that might be why the very idea of politics is under such a sustained attack these days.
Well, I got an email from the state SOS office saying that my prop 50 ballot had been received and counted, so there's that.
Thank you again for the podcast. Damn, it seems like every really good voice online on the left these days is a knitter...
