Listening to professional pundits on various Big Giant Podcasts can be quite entertaining if you look at it from a properly jaundiced perspective. For example, this is not an actual transcript, but it is a fairly accurate distillation of the all-over-the-place criticism that proprietors of various Big Giant Podcasts are tossing around these days.
Pundits: You have to understand, people are stupid. Voters are stupid. They don't understand anything political and don't know how anything works and you can't expect them to. Trump tells them crazy bullshit and they believe it. So, what are we to do?
Well, then how about starting by kicking the crap out of Trump on stuff like the price of eggs. These stupid voters said that's why they voted for him. He said he'd lower prices. He said he'd do it on Day One. We're well past Day One. Start with that.
Pundits: Look, these people aren't stupid, OK? Voters aren't stupid. They know he's only been in...
And back and forth we go, on and on, whiplashing between "Voters are dum-dums who know nothing and believe nonsense" and "You can't treat voters like dum-dums who know nothing and believe nonsense.".
And by the way, there are at least +75 million voters who aren't stupid, who do understand the stakes and who did understand the assignment. So in future bull sessions among your fellow pundits with Big Giant Podcasts, it would be an enormous boon to your credibility with folks like me who are one of that +75 million to refrain from bitching about "people" and "voters" and "Democrats" and instead get specific about which clusters of MAGA or uncommitted/"independent" voters you are planning on targeting for persuasion and what exactly your big plans are for accomplishing that goal.

If I hear one more plea for the Democrats to save us but only in the performative way that tickle our balls, I'm going to turn into Hugo Strange.
The media that was purchase to entertain about news and spice it up. Facts, truth? Like reality show it is entertaining for easily amused minds that will learn nothing from the time spent with it and never regain that time again.
The repeating history thing is a big waste of time.
Why ask why?
Why is it the press refer to Margery Taylor Greene in full formal name as if we need to know her middle name? Yet refer to another congresswoman as AOC? initials instead of her entire formal name
How is it the press will allow people to make accusations as , "Trump says DEI Transgender responsible for DC lane crash and not ever reporting or questioning and or assigning blame to a hetero?
When republican legislation/ policies imposed by partisan GOP, when DOD sec confirmed by partisan GOP vote fails and causes grave harm, they say congress or government". They make it a generalized neutral blame but not when it comes to Democrats.
Take reporting on Republican senator Larry Craig . arrested for making sex advance to a undercover policeman in a airport restroom for gay sex..
It started with FOX reporting Senator Craig was a democrat and much of the media followed the FOX lead and the rest didn't report much to set the record straight. Even Senator Craig did not shout out that he was republican to set the record right.
It wa the press that reported Trump was the chosen one with no evidence or no questioning.
FOX who still lives on its old advertising slogan of, "we report you decide/ When it doesn;t report. Sure it may broadcast noise with voices. But it is not reporting.
I've given up on them, and mainly listen to Proleft (and have for more years I've lost count, 10 or more?) and still listen to David Pakman (he's been a long-time friend and I try to support my friends, and stopped tossing cash at DG and BG when I found myself unemployed for a time).
I keep my sanity by following Heather Cox Richardson newletters, do indulge in Timothy Snyder, practicing Ukrainian (950+ days and counting) and ranting into the ether on my show.
If I need actual, legitimate reporting I started looking outside of the US ever since the falling of the Mubarak government during what was called the Arab Spring when all MSM here were focused on the Brittney Spears meltdown, and I felt that Egypt was the bigger news story and it took 3 farking days for US outlets to finally decide it was worth mentioning. If I must get a US news fix, it's PBS News Hour occasionally. Sorry for typos. I'm fluent in typo.
I also hang out too much on the Fark politics tab and forums, but Wil Wheaton sent me there back in 2007. We refer to her as Marge Three Toes, Marge Tthree Names, or Sporkfoot, and we all know who that is on Fark. Farkers are an interesting bunch. I also steal my best memes from them.
