I recall when OJ Simpson was acquitted. The Jury was to blame, Right wingers called it "jury nullification". Due to all the injustices imposed on them historical. Recent history. As they watched white men with lots of money and big name lawyers slice and dice the laws and acceptable responsibility. OJ had money and big lawyers but he wasn't white. Guilty? From my couch and some live trial viewing I thought he was guilty. The anarchy in our justices system republicans have imposed with their congressional majorities. Has gone way to far. Even the SCOTUS with its 6 GOP majority. Act as if they are partisan MAGA congressmen when it coms to ruling on legal cases. Their fails to utilize legal wordsmithing to make it sound legitimate and in parameters of the Constitution. There is no words to make corruption legal in the eyes of the established law. You know, the Magna Carta authors didn't really mean what they wrote and formalized. Our founders really meant that free speech has no limits if you are republican but anyone else it is punishable by imprisonment. SVOTUS is more than aware a president hasn't the authority to tear down part of the white house building, promising it will be rebuilt with private funds. Only tear it down and then demand congress give him tax dollars to rebuild it and congress who has the authority has not approved. Yet, SCOTUS on a shadow docket rules (without explanation) he can continue until they finally hear the court case they know is on the way. So why shadow docket approved continence of this? There is n legal reason because it was not a legal ruling. It was a partisan right wing ruling. We might as well have MAGA as SCOTUS justices. They act it out. SCOTUS behaves subdued to President's whims. GOP House and Senate majorities ignore their responsibilities. Lie declaring war. They refuse to vote for reclaiming their war powers and it allows the Prez to act in their absence. Congress thinks they are not on the hook for the war. Only the Prez is. Not true in my book. Since presidential orders are now legal laws (without legislating) the next Dem president is going to have to sign an executive order to add at lest 4 justices to the high court. Sign executive order bypassing the senate to a[appoint and place his nominees on the high court. Unitary president, you see. There may be 3 SCOTUS justices that contend, this unitary power is exactly what the other 8 justices rile in favor of and now would have no argument against this presidential power. Do this on first day. Then use that same presidential power to revoke all pardons the former Prez issued. You say you can;t do it? watch me. Perhaps firing republican congress members for NO cause.
