Blue Gal's cancer bit (was she talking about Susie?) reminded me of a Genesis (the band) lyric from "Firth of Fifth":

The path is clear
Though no eyes can see
The course laid down long before
And so with gods and men
The sheep remain inside their pen
Though many times they've seen the way to leave
He rides majestic
Past homes of men
Who care not or gaze with joy
To see reflected there
The trees, the sky, the lily fair
The scene of death is lying just below
The mountain cuts off the town from view
Like a cancer growth is removed by skill
Let it be revealed

Let it indeed. So this is what we were all saying when we said things like "It's gonna get bad before we get a shot at fixing things" and "Fergus is gonna throw a massive fit the first time he faces a consequence" and "I hope the fit isn't military."
It was military. It was always going to be military. Fergus is that kind of guy.
I don't see how you get away from wag the dog, when Pence is out there doing his Cheney imitation saying Suleimani helped the 9-11 hijackers. I don't need to explain what that means.
Thank you again for the podcast. The cats haven't decided to get along just yet, or one of them hasn't, but I promise there will be new pictures of Squeaker very soon.
