I loved this movie!! It never did get the attention it deserved. In fact, I don't ever recall seeing any advertisements for it. It is one of my top five. Thanks for posting this.
Oh, yeah, it's a terrific movie. It gets writing _and_ academia right--not an easy thing to do. And Michael Douglas gives an amazing performance here--whereas his Gordon Gecko was all dark angles and sharp edges in WALL STREET, his Grady Tripp is a hilariously-wry affable mess who's become dangerously resigned to his failings.
Okay thanks for the film recommendation and I gotta tell you it was surreal for me because all of the scenery was where I came from. Including the weather. Brr.

ReplyDeleteA favorite flick, despite Michael Douglas, who is tolerable here. Bob Dylan won a well deserved oscar for the theme song too, if memory serves.
