ReplyDeleteAnd for any aspiring writer/graphicist out there, this essay was about getting to the last piece. That image has been stuck in my head -- exactly as you see it -- for two years now, but I never had the chops to do it just justice.
Then I found after Photoabusing pictures for a couple of years now, and getting a little better each time, I could finally do my imagination justice while still being respectful of the memory of that terrible day justice.
It was a good lesson for me about trusting my instincts and better angels, and trying to be patient about letting the means for realizing my ends come into my hands when they're ready.
