"Tea party" have relinquished memory, and are purely reactive. They are the "ignorant" wing. They have no long term plan, and are only angry over what they are told to be angry about the night before.

The "crazy" wing is the Christopaths and the Birchers. The crazies have *not* relinquished memory, and more importantly, they have a plant. They have both mythologies and a vision. Their "knowledge" of "history" may be absolutely wrong, but they have an amassed cannon of knowledge. They were absorbed into the movement conservative base because they were self motivating, while the ignorant wing will just sit on their couch yelling along with O'Reily and Beck, and think they are somehow "defending freedom" from the invisible hippies hiding under the fridge and behind the couch.

I completely agree that they are not in any way a new political movement. However, I think they are a good distillation of the "stupid" wing of the stupid/crazy/lazy conservative voting base. ("Lazy" being the centrists who are always guided by the "but we are a majority conservative country" lie.)

Mike.K.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11363027.post-41922284594511884302014-06-26T12:04:42.860-05:002014-06-26T12:04:42.860-05:00off topic, but here's a good 'pay the writ...off topic, but here's a good 'pay the writer' post:

http://heterocephalusgabler.wordpress.com/2014/04/25/im-in-a-right-huff/Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11363027.post-76269940869263665122014-06-26T11:15:16.320-05:002014-06-26T11:15:16.320-05:00I still remember all the BMW M3 and M5s out there ...I still remember all the BMW M3 and M5s out there with "W, STILL THE PRESIDENT" bumper stickers. I sometimes forget to by cynical and get taken in by them myself. Liars lie first to themselves. That is why they seem so sincere. A mind of many compartments, like a ship, or a zoo, is the key to a successful career in lying.Lawrencehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05429309964648275918noreply@blogger.com
