The (Sort of) Triumphant Return of Tom Waits Friday

Watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs last night.  It was surreal and sad and beautiful, and Tom Waits' cover of this song was sublime.

This alternate version of  "Cowboy's Lament" ("Streets of Laredo") as sung by Brendan Gleeson was also show-stopping (but not, alas, stagecoach-stopping :-)
