Off topic:

Since the thing that now resides in the Office of the President has dragged Central America into the discussion, I offer up the suggestion that everyone (not familiar with it) look up United fruit company to see the beginnings of our dismantling of Central America. It does offer the historical backdrop to why so many people want to leave.

It is poetic justice of some note that so many people have fled South America to come to the USA to get away from the carnage we helped have created.

Central and South Americas are our backyard neighbors.

But we have been bringing democracy to Iraq, Afghanistan for how many years?.

On the Midterms, If GOP holds control of congress, you will finally see the the Orangutan pivot. He may just sign an executive order contracting out the presidency operations to Putin.

Oooooh, But if just one branch of Congress changes to Dem control. The possibilities.????
Just watching the republicans in the minority flip on a dime over all the preaching and condemning they engaged in from their majority perch that the Dems need to work bipartisan, How fast they would change that song to how they (GOP) must obstruct.

* Why is it voting for Democratic control is always on the contention of protecting what we already have and not moving things for the better. Always in defense?
One thing for sure is, we will never know what the special prosecutor 's end report says if the GOP stay in control.

Driftglass, do you and Bluegal have your wonderful list of "Both sides don't..." written in digital form so that you could insert it into a blog post? I would love to pass that along to people who still don't listen to the podcast, despite my persistent encouragement. That's a great start to an infinite list of garbage thinking.

Yeah, and how did Central America get so destabilized in the first place? Both sides don't do that shit, either.
