Noted Iraq War Porn Purveyor and Bush Regime Dead-Ender Would Like a Little Credit Please

After spending his entire adult life goose-stepping happily along with the Republican party line, we are all so very fortunate that Maximilian Doomwell Sturmdude von Boot  still has a column in the Washington Post so we can all join him in congratulating himself in figuring out all by himself that his Republican party was, y'know, fucked in the head

From the WaPo:
After a lifetime as a Republican, I re-registered as an independent on the day after Donald Trump’s election.
So brave!
Explaining my decision, I noted that Trumpkins...
It took you your entire adult life to notice what we Libtards had been screaming about for 30 years, so maybe your epic powers of decision-making don't need to be shared with the world.

Also, they're "Republicans" you vantz, not "Trumpkins"
I still hoped then that traditional conservatives might eventually prevail, but, I wrote, “I can no longer support a party that doesn’t know what it stands for — and that in fact may stand for positions that I find repugnant.”

I am more convinced than ever that I made the right decision. The transformation I feared has taken place...
And so forth and so on, yadda yadda yadda.  He wants Democrats to win now, so good for Max.  Way to go, Max!

So what new and exciting things will this Archimedes of Mediocrity discover all by himself?

Who knows!  But I'll bet you a penny and a fiddle of gold the Washington Post will pay him to tell us all about it!

Behold, a Tip Jar!

Cybernetic hygiene is highly under-rated.

Mr. Pierce & others have used URL redirect services for links, which cuts the revenue hose.
Libs learn to stop hate-clicking & good odds at least some of these cretins go away.
It may be a solid half of their income by now.
The pro pundits pumping out loony "hot-takes" are not as dumb as they seem.

Michelle Wolf nailed it: "A share is a share is a share."

They did prevail, that is what they stand for, and they have always known it. What they hadn't previously done is admit it in public, something that their own actions, the nomination and election of Fergus, are now forcing them to do, more or less.
Meaning that most of them are still clinging to denial like they've just discovered a dead hooker on the patio and instead of calling the authorities, they are furiously hiding the paraphernalia and dreaming up excuses...

It fills my heart with joy to see a republican see the error of their ways in the era of Trump. It just shows that if you belong to a party long enough that has been hell bent on destroying the social safety net, continuously empowering the wealthy while marginalizing the disadvantaged, ruining the environment, being racist, sexist, antisemitic and all around liars, thieves and shitty for near 40 years, eventually 1 or 2 of them find their sensibilities offended when a huckster cromagnofuck like Trump is produced out of all their demonizing rhetoric and hate based policies. It's so heartening to see one of these amoral cretins see the light and stand up to leave the Republicans and become... an independent! Boy that's a profile in courage and moral fiber I can get fired up about. It's too bad a lefty like myself can't have a moment like that because liberals and progressives have been right about Republicans and right wing assholes all along while getting pissed on for our beliefs. Take a fucking hike you independent carpetbagger asshat. First light after Trump's presidency ends and dollars to donuts you go back to being a republican.

The Republican party doesn't know what it stands for...man, does it ever know what it stands for, and it is finally getting it. This Max Boot comment may be the biggest lie ever.
