Concern-Troll-a-Palooza Tickets Now Available!

What happens when the cruelly-silenced doyenne of the intellectual dork web, Christina Hoff Sommers, meets up with America's most famous Gay Catholic Tory True Conservative, Andrew Sullivan, on the stage of an elite American university?

Honestly, who really cares?

But if you are in the area and inclined to drop by and ask a provocative question or two, tickets are are available.
Cardinal Conversations May 23 Guest Speakers

Christina Hoff Sommers is a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute (AEI), where she studies the politics of gender and feminism, as well as free expression, due process, and the preservation of liberty in the academy. Before joining AEI, Dr. Sommers was a philosophy professor at Clark University.

Contributing Editor at New York magazine, blogger, and author Andrew Sullivan is a popular source of provocative, astute political and social commentary. The Washington Post called him “a media pioneer,” and The New York Times said, “Andrew Sullivan might deserve to be remembered as the most influential political writer of his generation.” His New York essay, America Has Never Been so Ripe for Tyranny, is a finalist for a National Magazine Award.

From 2000 to 2015, Sullivan chronicled every major political and cultural moment in real time on his blog, The Dish. During the blog’s life at Time, The Atlantic, and independently, he helped to legitimize and advance the medium by publishing 250 to 300 posts a week. In assessing his body of work, New York magazine said, "[T]he archive makes a case for Sullivan’s outsize influence on the politics of the new century."
Predictions:
  • Many a socially constructed convention will be daringly pooh-poohed.  Others will be boldly defended.
  • Many an inferior domestic Chablis will be waved away.
  • On whatever issue comes before them, Both Side will be found Guilty!Guilty!Guilty!

Behold, a Tip Jar!

Snappy Title, "Cardinal Conversations".

To lead into an enlightenment how Hitler's Reign and the Catholic Church were the same. How they both did the same things.

The NAZIs (Some of those good ones) did the same thing as the Hews did.

It was both sides?

I mean really. Why cannot Jesus ever compromise with Satan?

Why is Jesus so darn partisan?

Maybe we can get to an answer of why all those other religions and sects thereof have to be so divisive and partisan.

Why they cannot be more like the religious right?

If those liberals and Democrats could finally comprise and be a Conservative extremist. Wouldn't the divisiveness dissipate?

perhaps time allowing. Entertain the notion that if Sullivan would comproise and yield to other points of views besides his own as the Holy Grail of ideas.
Would people learn anything from the open and free discussion(s). That did not have to end with the pre determined Sullivan world as he writes it, final conclusion?

Perhaps that is too divisive and only everyone else is required to compromise .

Of course, Defining "compromise" for Sullivan holds an entirely strict adheance to his bias.

I don't know if Captain Bareback has ever had a heterosexual encounter, but I'm pretty sure what's going to happen on that stage will qualify.

A headline caught my eye "Obama's Legacy Has Already Been Destroyed." Started reading, got about 1/3 of the way through, and a big "Fuck. You." pushed its way involuntarily out of my mouth, startling my lunch companions. Scrolled up to the byline. Andrew fucking Sullivan. Of course:

"Nothing could be further from the left’s current vision, which is that the very concept of post-racial integration is an illusion designed to mask the reality of an eternal “white supremacy.” Today’s left-liberal consensus is that Obama, however revered he may still be as president, was and is absurdly naïve in this respect: that there is no recovery from the original sin, no possible redemption, and certainly no space for the concept of an individual citizenship that transcends race and can unite Americans."

Fuck you Andrew, you straw-baiting sack of useless rhetoric.
