Trump Controls Matter Because Trump Control The Mind

"Reality is inside the skull. You will learn by degrees, Winston. There is nothing that we could not do. Invisibility, levitation -- anything. I could float off this floor like a soap bubble if I wish to. I do not wish to, because the Party does not wish it. You must get rid of those 19th century ideas about the laws of Nature.  We make the laws of Nature."

-- O'Brien, 1984
As certain low and disreputable Liberals bloggers have been pointing out for years and years and years, a terrifyingly large number of our Conservative fellow citizens have turned themselves into reprogrammable Orwellian meat-puppets.

And once you start to factor that into your analysis of what has gone so drastically wrong with this country --

-- the rise of Trump is not hard to understand at all.

In the summer of 2002, after I had written an article in Esquire that the White House didn't like about Bush's former communications director, Karen Hughes, I had a meeting with a senior adviser to Bush. He expressed the White House's displeasure, and then he told me something that at the time I didn't fully comprehend -- but which I now believe gets to the very heart of the Bush presidency.

The aide said that guys like me were "in what we call the reality-based community," which he defined as people who "believe that solutions emerge from your judicious study of discernible reality." I nodded and murmured something about enlightenment principles and empiricism. He cut me off. "That's not the way the world really works anymore," he continued. "We're an empire now, and when we act, we create our own reality. And while you're studying that reality -- judiciously, as you will -- we'll act again, creating other new realities, which you can study too, and that's how things will sort out. We're history's actors...and you, all of you, will be left to just study what we do."

-- Ron Suskind, "Faith, Certainty and the Presidency of George W. Bush" (The New York Times Magazine, October 17, 2004)

Define chutzpah.
Oh yeah, it was Rove who said it and then he was out and wasn't one of history's actors anymore. So sad.

And you don't have to go to psychiatry school to spot that there's something seriously wrong with this puppy.

His opioid-befuddled core base may not be getting it but everyone else is.

and yet, for the next two years, I want the Republican base to firmly believe anything contradictory to their FoxNews/Trump Tweet/Brietbart view is "fake news" to be discarded out of hand.

The hope being that it makes them lazy at the 2018 polls. We'll need anything we can get since our "tea party" doesn't have $100 million war chest, a 24 hour propaganda network, or conmen trying to make careers ring mastering our rallies.

No doubt we are going to find out how Breitbart and Infowars plays out nationally and in, the wide wide world of facts).

His presidential Executive Tweet Order declaring for the nation who is news and who is not is going to make it much easier for his Jim Jones following to get the "word" without sifting through all that newsy competition.

As y news source ( a crystal ball) shows the image of Trump/s past, as a toddler to his teens, had a undocumented nanny reading the same and his favorite bedtime story .
His favorite part of the bedtime story is , when this little boy, "Cries wolf".

He learned from a young at. How to get attention from a certain percent of the adults and it's longevity of each "wolf cry".

Most of us saw how Trump's approved raid in Yemen failed. How he and his "best" people failed and attempted to cover it up.

Producing olf footage of unrelated battle. Trump's blaming of Obama for it.
The GOP tucking their Ostrich heads up their asses in attempts to not have to explain why they won't investigate the military fiasco and the lies Trump presented to cover his failure and his accountability.

How the media, give this a minute and moves on. Unlike Benghazi on its 13th GOP investigation to prove (again and again) that all prior investigations where the final reports clear HRC of wrong doings was in fact correct.
They were just being thorough in their congressional duty as a republican to use tax dollars to campaign with in the form of investigating over and over to project an image of wrong.
My view is,
Trup's drift from reality and seriously poor honesty character displayed hi his projective erroneous Alternative facts is going to catch up.

As long as folks pressure the congressional reps over fact and truth vs Trump Infowar world of fakery and alternative facts.
It already began with the KellyGirl Anne defense of spicer's alternative facts. It is going south for more than the winter.

Like Ricky Gervais said to Stephen Colbert the other day: If you destroyed all of the books and records of everything, the cults and religions would just be gone, and science would eventually come back the same way it is because it's real.
Trump and Rove will be dead soon, and the reality we base our community on will still be chugging along...

Everyone else getting it doesn't seem to be enough. making the "getting it" matter is the chore. Not to be conspiratorial. BUT,
The very wealthy powers that George Carlin explained that we are not part of that club. REcent Breitbart stories that George Soros paid all those females to march.
All these folks seem to need is a mantra to spit out at what they want/ need to hate.

They have something in their head they feel they can now go out and espouse as if they are intelligent beings too.

Those folks have decided we are simply a resource for whatever it is they envision that we are to perform.
Too many that work for Negan are convinced one day they will be Negan, (walking dead analogy). As the opioid base you mentioned is real. They are legion.
If they do not get fed a daily diet of hate. They will feed the stomach in their skulls with sustenance other than the hate nutrient.
maybe in your point of Opioid addicted, your Rush, Infowars, etc, are the opium dens for them.

As the GOP supports this LGBT de programming programs. We should create Republican Rehab and get the health insurance industry to cover it.

Yes, US citizens do want extreme vetting of refugees... and guess what? Obama implemented that. That's what we have now.

Trump continues to hold campaign rallies pandering to his demented dumb racist base. Why? Because, clearly, as we all feared and predicted, it's all he's got.

Anyway, I was adjured for years by rightwingers that simply because Obama refused to say the magic words "Radical Muslim Extremists" that was why we are all so very unsafe. Well, Trump's uttered those magic words numerous times now. Riddle me why we're still so incredibly unsafe?

No wonder Trump loves uneducated voters. Again, it's all he's got.

I just hope we make it through the next 4 years relatively unscathed. Good luck to us all.

And Betsy Devos wants to make more of those beloved uneducated...........

If 26% voted for HRC and 27% voted Trump.

What Might the percentages of educated vs mouth breathing are still available to recruit to vote?

As normal, we can offer a check from George Soros for their vote.

After years of people, mostly conservatives, misusing the term "Orwellian", it finally applies.
