The Disownership Society

(h/t Alert Reader Patrick)
(h/t Commentor "JHB" for the title of this post)

If you look at the front page of the GOP's official website very carefully...or not very carefully...or just glance at it out of the window of a speeding car, you will see ads for "Reagan/Bush '84" coffee mugs, two, different pictures of Scary Hillary, a "Clinton Email Scandal" tab, a "Buy Some George H.W. Bush Socks!" tab, and so much more!

However as of this writing, what you will not see anywhere on the front page is Mr. Donald J. Trump.  No pictures.  No videos.  No Tweets.  No text.

Nothing. At. All.

Wow.

One can only imagine how very exciting the next meeting between Mr. Donald J. Trump and the online marketing team of "his" Republican party will be:

GOP.com. One typo away from Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop website.

"Steaming your vagina? Is this part of the Republican Party's 'engaging women voters' thing?"

Is the GOP website acting out just a little political correctness?

Is it the GOP web site reflects that there is no reflection in the mirror for them?

Where is the article of David Duke endorsing Trump proudly? Oh, thats right Duke said Trump is going to have to say and do certain "great things" in the election to get elected.
I guess what Duke meant was, he will have to sit quietly by while Trump lies to his supporters to ruse the press and he (duke and company) need to pack their baggage in a holding terminal for now.

Think if Trump wins Duke will get multiple visits to the Trump House? Like Gannon did?

The photo shots of Ryan, Duke, Scalese, McConnell and Trump performing cabaret would make such great T-shirts. That the Trump-chins can buy and wear proudly at the Confederate Flag ceremony in Ole Miss..

To be fair, it IS possible to track down some Trump-related articles, but only through their search box. Also when I went to the GOPHQ page, there was a link on the right to Trump...which goes to a very, very generic descriptive page about Trump listing only short blurb about him and not really much of anything regarding his positions or anything.

Totally true though, there's no merchandise, no puff-pieces anywhere on the main site pages, no updates about him or his campaign.

So let me get this straight: the gop website is the only outlet in the entire media complex not giving Trump unlimited free coverage? What do they know that Chuck Todd doesn't?

That's hilarious! And here are all of Trump's fan whining and crying about how mean horrible Liberals are ruining their precious snowflake lives with our terribly oppressive political correctness. And how Liberals and Democrats are the real bigots, while the Donald is just telling it like it is.

Maybe they oughta check out the media black out on the GOP site. Is that politically incorrect enough for them?

If you go to the DNC site it the same thing. Pictures of Trump. Obama merch in the store. Nothing about HRC.

Scott: The DNC is trying to be careful not to alienate Sanders supporters, and she just announced Tuesday night. Trump hasn't had anyone else running against him for weeks. Also, he doesn't have much of a campaign apparatus, so maybe he hasn't noticed yet? My bet is that he finds out in a couple of months and complains bitterly about how unfairly he has been treated by the Republican party establishment.

Looking forward to the Republican Steaks, Republican Vodka, and Republican U. seminars in how to win elections, in which future candidates spend $35,000 to have their pictures taken next to a lifesize cardboard cutout image of the Trump.

Looking at the Republican Leadership Initiative videos, one would conclude that minorities outnumber whites four to one in the GOP.

BTW, I wonder how many "I miss W" hats have been sold?.
