I am interested in how this will proceed from here. The primaries are effectively over. Sure a "black swan" event could happen, but seriously, it's Trump V. Hillary.

Strategically, I am sure Trump and Hillary would like to start pulling back and prepare for the convention and generals.

But the media will continue to insist the current primaries (and generals) as a neck and neck dog race to prevent candidates(and the PACs) from closing their check books. Not to mention how career killing to would be for a prime time "non-partisan" media person to report reality when a Democratic candidates has the clear advantage. Like in 2012 when Obama was a mortal lock for election, so bring out the "Unskewed Polls!" people and pretend Obama's support is possibly a mirage created by evil liberal intellectuals.

Trump does have a ceiling. He is still incredibly unpopular.

It all depends on if Kasich leaves sooner rather than later. Once it's a two-person race, the anti-Trump people will have no choice but back Cruz.

To trgahan - for the media this ain't over. Not by a long shot. Way too much money to made on this horse race, and on both sides (!!) too. Last night on NPR, I heard the longest segment evah on Bernie. Before NPR, like all the rest of the corporate owned media, did their damnedest to hide Sanders behind a black out curtain. Not last night. Nay, verily, they featured a pretty lengthy segment of his speech last night (forget where from), plus one commentator who spoke in more detail about Sanders than I've heard before.

Oh no. This horse race is far far far from over because MONEY!!

Clinton and Trump can desire a different outcome, but who's paying attention to that? Not the 1%. Money talks; everyone walks.

And yes: Cruz doesn't have prayer, although the PTB last night on NPR were certainly push push pushing the message that Cruz really really really could make it. Highly unlikely, imo.

Ditto re Sanders, but I want him to keep campaigning because of the message he is putting out there.

The NY appeals court ruled that Drumpf must stand trial for fraud. If I were Cruz, or Kasich, I'd hang around for a bit.
