And, Inevitably...

The household lead levels in Flint have been measured at higher than 11,000 parts per billion, which is more than twice the level of toxic waste.

The Both Siderist levels have also buried the needle.

But the praise rolls in.  For example, Fox News commentator person and political consultant, Mr. Lee Spieckerman, is very impressed with Mr. Fournier.
Lee Spieckerman, it turns out, is a man of many opinions. Like this:
and this:
and this:
Both Siderism leads to journalistic inbreeding.
Journalistic inbreeding leads to imbecility.
Imbecility leads to Both Siderism.

Circle of Life, people.

Circle of Life.

I don't speak twitterism, but I get your point.

From the Ron sampler,

If I was to catch a cockroach that just crawled out of the sewer. Turned it over and scraped a sample off its abdomen. Placed that sample under a microscope. It would be identified as a disease that can make you very ill. without proper medical treatment, death may occur.

Today in DFB's column: "Moreover, many in the media, especially me, did not understand how they would express their alienation. We expected Trump to fizzle because we were not socially intermingled with his supporters and did not listen carefully enough. For me, it’s a lesson that I have to change the way I do my job if I’m going to report accurately on this country."

I don't know whether to laugh until I suffocate or just blow my head off after reading that. Either way, Brooks wins: those are published sentences. "Socially intermingled"? I need a fucking drink.

I'm too much of a twit to understand that ?? whatever it is. If he is praising Fournier & Geroldo Rivera, I don't want to learn that language thankyewverymuch.

Reading this I honestly begin to despair. I being to think that not only will Trump win the GOP nod, that for out various sins he will go on to win the general aided and abetted by this sort of coverage.

@Matt: But David f'ing Brooks has assured us in the past that he knows exactly what the yokels are talking about at the Applebee's Salad Bar. What happened?!?!

As for Ron "Severe Dementia" Fournier, he actually has a point about the Congressional hearings yesterday. They were basically just a stage for the Congresscritters to grandstand. But of course, Ron "Severe Dementia" Fournier thinks that's the entire story. Actually sussing what went wrong, why, and who dropped the ball would be wayyyy too partisan. He can't worry his pretty little dementia-addled head about any of that when there's a pithy "Both Sides 4EVER!" tweet to write.

I had become optimistic that Ron "Severe Dementia" Fournier was beginning the long, painful journey out of the Both Siderist cul-de-sac. But, as Charlie Pierce says of the GOP, after Ron's last few days, I despair of the rebranding. He appears to have fallen off the wagon after just a few days trying to sober up. Can't say I'm surprised, but it is sad. Hopefully his friend Karl "Keep Up the Fight" Rove can keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't harm himself.

Damn, does this demented one-note parrot do any fact checking or finding the readily available information on what happened in Flint, or does he just skim the scummy surface of the what's been ladled out by the whores in the pres. This shitty analysis would get a D- in any community college's mandatory American History class. And I am not denigrating CC's its just that this Both Sides bullshit doesn't even rise to that level of scholarship. Yet the scribblers get paid obscene amounts of money. 'Make America Great Again'

For five years with Tea Party Republican Congress gutting their budget & warning EPA to defer to state & local authorities or else Chaffetz & other Republicans are outraged that EPA did not stop Governor Sewage & minions from poisoning the people of Flint. Ron Fournier who had been singing the praises of Governor Sewage creates a "both sides" narrative to get Sewage off the hook.
