I remember that interview; the "How dare you bring up MY money, MY money has nothing to do with it..." interview. Maybe that's how you have to see it if you're rich, to, you know, avoid seeing the damage you are doing...

Nihilism is a symptom masquerading as a philosophy.

Some human beings simply don't have the temperament to be altruistic. If they can't believe in some afterlife in which altruism will be rewarded, they become nihilists.

I suspect I am one of those people.

Some people can believe death is The End--no ifs, ands, buts, afterlives, resurrections, or reincarnations--and still be just and compassionate, and even self-sacrificing.

I suspect I am not one of those people.

One of the reasons I cling to my idiosyncratic, quasi-heretical interpretation of Christianity is that I fear what I could become without it.

Some of y'all would call me a nihilist now. Trust me, you have not seen the real nihilism which lurks in the depths of my soul.

I did not once call myself "Monster from the Id" solely out of respect for Forbidden Planet.

I used to watch the sunday shows way back when the round table was something new, although it was just a rip-off of the mcmuffin group, which I tape(dating myself) and then erase without watching, is there a term for that? Now unless there's a link on one of the blogs to something interesting, who cares? Who watches these shows anymore? Waste of time.
