We've Been Mentioned on Telly!

Three of America's foremost douchbag ex-Senators {Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) and Norm Coleman (R-Minn), because Bipartisan!) apparently had one helluva bake sale, because they were able to come up with $500,000 to spend on running the following Red Dawn-grade freak-out

specifically targeting two American cities, one of which is where I live now:

...
The group, headed by former Sens. Saxby Chambliss (R-Ga.), Evan Bayh (D-Ind.) and Norm Coleman (R-Minn) is going up today with a $500,000 ad buy insinuating America could be the target of a nuclear attack. In the 30-second spot, airing in Washington, Lexington, Ky. and Springfield, Ill., the camera takes the point of view of a terrorist driving a van that conceals a bomb. The van pulls into a parking lot in a crowded urban area before detonating. “Tell Washington: No Iran nuclear deal without Congressional approval,” a narrator says, as the phone numbers for the White House and the Senate appear on the screen. The spot is aimed at members of Congress, but the Lexington and Springfield flights specifically target GOP Sen. Rand Paul and Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin.
On second thought, I very much doubt that the "American Security Initiative" had to run a bake sale, or rummage sale or a car wash or a blog fundraiser to put together the scratch they needed to shove this seditious claptrap onto my teevee,

But I do wonder which of them had to dress up like Queen Esther and call Shelly Adelson "My Lion of Judah!" and which one of them had to actually attend to his wizened junk.

You want to make a Purim joke about Shelly being "do drunk he can't tell the difference between Esther and Lindsey Graham" but come to think of it he probably can't tell the difference when he's sober.

I saw that commercial last night and just stared at the TV with my mouth open.
