Carter Burke to the Rescue

Of course the Cheney Clan will ram their slimy Neocon ovipositors down the throats of and lay their eggs in the chests of anyone they can attach themselves to.

It's how they reproduce. Part of their life-cycle, just as sure as sowing death and disaster is how they grow rich and powerful.

They're monsters, following their monstrous nature.

But of course, given their bloody and horrifying track record, any normal person would flee at the sight of them, which means that in order to thrive, the Cheneys need the services of a very special kind of human being: one who is willing to fuck over their own profession, their own country and their own species for money so that monsters like the Cheneys can continue to grow and prosper (click on pic for link to video):

Fortunately for the Cheneys, the crossroads of American politics and the Beltway Media is a positive whelping box for Carter Burkes, and one of the most Burkean of them all is Mike Allen who, for money, is more than happy to help the Cheneys burnish their image and get their ovipositors regreased for another generation of getting innocent people slaughtered for the enrichment of the Cheney family.

Its puerility has finally crossed over into indecency. Its triviality has finally crossed over into obscenity. The comical political starfcking that is its primary raison d'erp has finally crossed over into $10 meth-whoring on the Singapore docks. Once a mere surface irritation, Tiger Beat On The Potomac has finally crossed over into being a thickly pustulating chancre on the craft of journalism. It has demonstrated its essential worthlessness. It has demonstrated that it has the moral character of a sea-slug and the professional conscience of the Treponema pallidum spirochete. Trust me. Stephen Glass never sunk this low. Mike (Payola) Allen has accomplished the impossible. He's made Jayson Blair look like Ernie Pyle.

Fucking autoplay. Can we please tear down any site that does this and use their URLs as redirects to articles on basic etiquette for video hosting?

I mean, say what you will about Cheney but you have to admire his purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.

Love that film almost as much as this blog. Keep killing it, DG.

on the plus side, they've only been shown to spawn when faced with the *actual* possibility of danger ;}

Awesome Cheney graphic drift, as usual.

Sigh.

Before posting this, I tested it under Chrome because I hate autoplay.

No-autoplay.

My wife tested it in FireFox.

No-autoplay.

There is no autoplay setting -- on or off -- in Spike at all, so there is no way to turn it off at the source, and this clip (and anything even close to this clip that would make sense from a story-flow POV) exists in no other video hosting site but Spike. As a writer, I realize I'm way too fussy about such details :-)

So gimmie a few minutes to screenshot, link, swap-out the problem and thx for your patience

@ Anonymous

"Look, I am... I've heard enough of this, and I'm asking you to pull the plug."

If only we could do the same for the Cheneys.

Since Liz Cheney is the Demon Spawn in this family, I suggest you do another photoshop with her Gorgon-face in the center for future posts. I mean, there's little doubt we haven't heard the last from this monsterette.

I'm pretty sure that in the last days of the Ford administration Dick Cheney ordered the development of auto play.
