Zachariah!

Yes, this exists.

I saw at a late-night screening in some flyspeck theater in Chicago Heights.

Or so I am told.

Thank god no one followed me around in the 70's with a camera.
Don Johnson's current hair line can be explained by the repeated forehead slapping he must do every morning when he wakes up.
....and one of those cow-hippies looked like Val Kilmer.
Joe Walsh must have written the screenplay.

The screenplay, based on Hesse’s “Siddhartha,” was written by the comedy collective known as The Firesign Theater (Phil Austin, Peter Bergman, David Ossman and Philip Proctor.) My Pop and me saw it back when it came out in 1971, and sent them a letter. We got a Red Chinese film promotional postcard with a nice note from Porgie Tirebiter in reply.

1970 - the year they took all the rest of the remaining drugs.

Drifty:

Was it the Nortown or the Lincoln? I grew up in that town. By 1971, I was living in L.A. right next door to Dave Ossman of Firesign. Got to be friends and watch them rehearse "We're all Bozos on this Bus".

Loved the movie, but I was pretty high myself.

Keep up the wonderful work!! You are the best.
