Bob is great, and I like their show. (Yours feels more like home and more adult). Chez is a whiner. It is exhausting to hear him talk about how exhausted he is and overwhelmed by life. That aside, greatly look forward to a meeting of the minds. Thanks all.

One minor quibble; Norbizness was blogging as Professional Left for quite some time.

That was awesome. I'm so glad you got to be on their show. I hope you get to go back at some point. I've only been following Bob and Chez for a few weeks; they only popped up on my radar after this whole Snowden thing started.

I do disagree with the notion that the UK police were "harassing" Greenwald's partner. That's another one of those automatic assumptions so many people seem to be making, that the only possible reason UK law enforcement might want to detain or investigate Greenwald's partner is to harass him and punish him for free speech.

I think the UK has a very legitimate law enforcement interest. These clowns (Snowden, Greenwald, Miranda) have access to extremely sensitive national security secrets and have given no indication they are handling them appropriately. In fact, they have stated openly they are willing to trade them to our enemies for favors. And they have threatened to release damaging information out of spite - not out of concern for the public interest. It's entirely appropriate to attempt to secure the stolen secrets and prosecute Snowden for his criminal betrayal of our country.

Aaronintw,
I disagree about Chez; I think he's great. I know what you mean about him. He does whine a little bit, and he often lets Bob carry most of the water. But he does make brilliant points and he shows amazing insight. Honestly, he says things that I don't hear from anyone else besides Driftglass. I've often found it uncanny how it sounds like he's reading from Driftglass's talking points.

And his writing is superb. He's a very talented writer.
