So you know you're going to get brutally trolled, right? Of course you do. Damn funny stuff as far as I'm concerned.

Okay so we know greenwalds a humorless self awareness challenged a hole. But there are times when the good is the corrosive enemy of the best

What a wonder filled world GG inhabits.

Every day he discovers new people, more willing to "defend power" than he did on any day previous.

There should be some sort of Olympic competition for his abilities to discover those people.

They should invent it in time for the next games, so he could participate.

I think Greenwald's Twitter account has some sort of mechanism for searching all other accounts for references to him, Snowden, metadata, NSA, and a few other keywords. Then an automated reply is sent along the lines of the one in this post. It chooses from a half-dozen variants of the same thing to make it seem like Glenn himself is saying it.

He makes it so hard to like him. But I'm trying to hang in there because journalism and politics need voices like his (his reporting, not his pompous douchetasticness).

But, see, the point is that he is NOT a journalist. There is nothing at all journalistic about the way he conducts himself.

And I would disagree that the world needs any more rigid and strident ideologues than we already have.

In fact, he's becoming as meaningful to national security analysis what Jenny McCarthy is to the vaccines and public health policy....more dangerous than useful.

To the degree of damage being done yes...
...but at least Jenny's damage comes from a place of just plain ignorance.
As that little twit cap plainly exemplifies, Greenwald's motives are strictly self advancing.
Mr. Kirell makes a perfectly valid point in a most innocuous way.
A real journalist, interested in propping up the veracity of the story, motivated by an actual interest in overreach, would have responded to the point.
GG, as he has done time after time, attacks the poster as an "authoritarian".
Mr. Glass here gives him far more credit than I do.
He is not a journalist in any sense of the word.
He is a strutting narcissist, with persecution delusions, delusions of grandeur and an agenda that goes nowhere beyond serving his own advancement.

Agreed. He also likes to work people up just for the pleasure of seeing them get worked up. Several months back he got involved in a Twitter fight with Imani/ABL & some other bloggers which involved the topic of downplaying rape. He made a number of outrageous statements which he certainly couldn't have believed but he just seemed to like trolling the bloggers and laughing at their outrage. He's really just a jerk.

Greenwald's skin is so thin they wouldn't need an X-ray to spot a broken bone.
Greenwald's skin is so thin he needs SPF 50 for a full moon.
And so on....
