By all means, make a "Both Sides" video - & please make it the length of the Director's Cut of Das Boot. All it takes is a little knowhow & a little patience.

It's pretty easy to fit Iran-Contra for a tinfoil top-hat: so much of that entire spectacle was bizarre enough not to make the cut on cable TeeVee as a sci-fi Alternate Earth pilot.

Speaking of sci-fi & atrocities ... this horror (WARNING: NOT SAFE FOR HUMANS) is a shameful thing that should never have been, no matter how well-meaning it may have been or how great an idea it may have seemed at the time.

I'd like to point out that during the health care debate of 2009, Carlos Danger (shrug), was a impressive proponent of single-payer health care, and was extremely articulate in explaining single-payer's advantages while explaining the many disadvantages of our patchwork--but mostly private for-profit--health care system.

Unfortunately my respect for him falls each day, but I'll always remember the way he calmly and articulately explained why we need a national healthcare system.

Hi this is Mal. Love your SF university section. Wondering if you have read Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast trilogy - a devastating criique of the English class system in the mould of fantasy, and Roger Zelazny's SF Fantasy Lord of Light - I think a lovely book on the use of religion to subjugate the descendants of humans on an alien world? If so what do you think?

.....as I scrolled down almost to the end there were two I still have in the original paperback ...with those covers. "Triton" and "Dhalgren".
In fact, I remember Dhalgren in particular, landing me a really..."interesting" girlfriend in the day.
Great books.
Although, I don't think I would recommend those two for people just starting to read science fiction?
