If Newtie gets his own show, I am going to dredge up my Facebook posts from early in the Republican Nomination Extravaganza and TOTALLY take credit for seeing it before anybody else in the world.

I'm finding your characterizations of those who have strong disagreements with the current administration's policies to be increasingly cartoonish. I personally find many of the current US policies to be horrendous. I, therefore, enjoy reading articulate critiques of US foreign and domestic policy because I find them insightful.

For the record, I do not think Obama is worse than Hitler or worse than Bush. To my mind Obama is much more like Bush the elder.

Is this postable here?

Thanks for reading my question Bluegal! You should check out Hyperion: it's a very intelligent space opera. I should note that after Sarai says "Clumsy title," Sol responds to her, "It's a clumsy problem."

It still gave me a thrill to hear my name and question read on the air by you guys!

Greenwald is a constitutional lawyer and agrues accordingly. I can't read him nearly as often as I read you, but his arguments do hold water. On Bill Moyers this week, he makes solid points about opacity and the use of fear by governments and where those practices lead.

A few weeks ago, in the comments, somebody advised you to be careful not to bite your own leg. It was sound advice. Yours is an important voice. You picked up where the Media Horse left off and hammered the mouse circus until people noticed. (Please don't marginalize yourself picking fights with Greenwald and Sirota.) Yeah, Charles Pierce gets a lot of traffic, but you were there first. And again, _this week_, Moyers has Norm Ornstein and Thomas Mann ripping the mouse circus and Republican intransigence.

Moyers also showed an appalling clip of Brokaw matter-of-factly accepting the "necessity" of diminished privacy under broader government surveillance and intrusiveness because of the Boston bombings. As you ritually and rightly refer to DFB as David Fucking Brooks, I believe Brokaw has won himself the sticky nickname of Dickhead Tom.

His frequent appearances with Dancin' Dave remind me of the way advertisers figured out that although Dick Clark and Ed McMahon were really annoying by themselves, they were incalculably more annoying together.
