I Strongly Urge Every Conservative

To heed Lucianne Goldberg's doughy offspring's mahhhvy advice:
...
Conservatives rarely get calls from the New York Times, BuzzFeed, NPR, Politico, et al. to talk about scrapping the medical-device tax. They get calls all of the time to comment on issues that are divisive or embarrassing for the GOP. It is hardly as if Democrats don’t have embarrassing characters in their midst. Indeed, as Weigel casually notes, Obama had a very severe nutjob problem in that he had ties to some very sketchy people, including a domestic terrorist named Bill Ayers. That Obama was able to turn Obama’s critics into the nuts in that narrative says more about how eager the mainstream press — particularly outlets such as Slate — were to help Obama out then it does about how nutty the GOP is or was.

Obviously the GOP has a messaging problem these days. But one of the reasons the messaging problem is so severe for Republicans is that the mainstream media loves hyping stories that fuel that messaging problem. That’s not an excuse for Republicans to play into their hands, it’s an illustration of how much harder Republicans have to work in the face of an outrageous double standard.
...
Remember, Conservatives, your problem is not piling one monumentally shitty idea on top of  another and calling it a Movement.

It's definitely not cliff diving into that shitpile over and over again, face-first, while rebel-yelling "FreeeeeDuuuuum!" all the way down every fucking time.

And it is absolutely not limping away from the dungblast impact crater of your every epic failure vowing to jump from a higher place next time.

No, the real problem is us tricksie Liberals and the "outrageous double standard" of the media we so obviously control.

Also too, ACOOOOOOOOOOORN!

Nothing that can't be cured with a tuxedo, some dancing lessons, and a heartfelt rendition of "Puttin' on the Ritz".

Hey, it almost worked in "Young Frankenstein".

I suppose that's like asking a flabby-assed, wide-wwaisted, chairborne chicken hawk coward questions about military matters and then conservatives getting all peeved when Chicken Hawk Jonah comes off looking stupid.

Their problem is that so many of the nutcases are in Congress and love to get in front of the camera. Then there are the ones on the farm team in state legislatures who grab headlines in the local media. These people won't shut up, and neither Jonah nor Karl Rove can stop them.

As I may have mentioned way back when, I myself am three degrees of separation from the notorious Prof. Ayres, and therefore four degrees of separation from the Obama family.

I do hope I am the full six degrees from Mr. Goldberg. Especially since he doesn't seem to be able to use logic very well.

Nazis. Nazis. Where are the Nazis? One cannot leave out the Nazis!

It cannot be _us_; we are the victims. Where would the RepublicanT Party be without their hair-shirt of victim hood and the Mudoch Media/Fox Networks 'Clown Circus' to reinforce GOP reality?

Forget them ; gloat all one wants, but forget them. The followers of the Clown Circus will not listen. Time to move on.

Personally I rejoice that Doughy Pantload can't find his asshole with two index fingers.

Because it means there'll be a repeat of Election Night On Fox News - fat old white men running into the sharp end of demographics.

The GOP brand programming is stuck in an infinite loop, and now we get to see the meatbots bump against the walls.

(And as Thunder points out, there's no need for the freakout - Obama gets them a good chunk of their agenda as is.)
