I get kind of aggravated when people pilfer your beat, dude. You staked out some serious ground for quite some years, and yeah, Pierce gives you the odd nod, but shit.

On the other stump, from the standpoint of the Hundredth Monkey concept, if your bailiwick is now bubbling up into common media, it's not a bad thing.

Being one of the un-heralded throngs that make something good happen, can have its rewards.

Gilliard would encourage you to be an external influence, I think.

Mr. Gore did a fine job of encapsulating the reality of how politics works. I'm not holding my breath waiting for it to change...

I did not think this was one of Steward's better interviews. He appeared stuck in the middle of the year 2000 press core.

He played the full false equivalent hand with Gore, bashing Gore over and over about selling Current to an oil based interested but did not once mention how Time/Warner cable dropped Current as soon as they hear it was sold to Al Jeezera.

Very odd.

Credit is for capitalists. The more your memes spread, the more we all win.

The full interview was horrible. Stewart started gunning to portray Gore as a hypocrite for the sale of Current out to Al Jeezera of the box. He obviously didn't know that A.J.'s journalistic integrity..on climate change or anything else, is light years over any American media conglomerate.
Gore tried to explain to him that without an major influx of capital, Current had gone as far as it could go covering anything, and if he had accepted that capital from the traditional sources available here, it would have completely compromised the editorial content.
A.J. will pump money in to Current for placement, so it can reach a broader audience, and maintain a free editorial bent. Free being not beholden to the likes of Glen Beck, General Electric..or Pharma..or Oil...or Coal...the only other potential buyers available who would expand the network.
I love Jon Stewart, but sometimes he can really screw the pooch.
