Reince Priebus: The Power and The Glory

Remember that this snuffling, semi-literate, bobble-headed failure actually beat out the "Break Glass in Case We Need a Black Guy" RNC chair for the job of leading the Party of Lincoln.

Remember also that the amazingly incompetent Michael Steele was, in turn, preceded in the job of RNC chair by a closeted, self-loathing gay man who has spent much of his time since leaving that position apologizing for the terrible things he did as a beard for the American Taliban.

This is a Party defined by astonishing levels of paranoid delusion and bigotry barely papered-over by just enough vestigial self-awareness to be dimly aware that they really need to keep their innate hatred and crackpottery out of sight so as not to scare the shit out of normal human beings.

Because, brother, when you get a look at these inbred losers close-up...

Every day, I have to see them up close every DAY! As I have said before, I have many good, solid personal reasons for living here in Sandland. However, at election time it does feel a bit like walking around in the movie 'They Live', afraid to put the magic glasses on!

I wonder if Reince left that podium thinking "Nailed it!"

Somehow, I think he probably did.

It looks like the t-bagger lady is confusing the real POTUS with the imaginary one that is inside her head.

She's not embarrassed by her ignorance and crazy talk, she's very proud of it.

Oh God, this video is so hard to watch, as in Clockwork Orange toothpicks-in-the-eyelids hard. Why is this woman being given a national stage? I've been gaining respect for Soledad Obrien this election cycle, but am losing it again with the inclusion of this tea-party blowhard on her panel. Mayor Nutter OWNS her. Ryan Lizza OWNS her. But she blows past all that: "I'm not very good with numbers," but here are some talking points someone gave me. BTW: I think the word Ms Kremer is looking for at 00:14-00:25 is "global CITIZEN".

"... We interrupt the DNC Convention for an update from the "We know you are but what am I?" Party...."

Whenever I hear a GOP/Conservative/Republican/Libertarian talk, I listen for what they claim about the other side, as you know that it’s exactly what they fear at that moment,

“Obama hasn’t created any jobs” – His job record is better than anything we have done in the last 30 Years
“Obama can’t run on his record” – PLEASE DON’T TALK ABOUT Wubya!
“America is less safe” – How the FK did he find Osama!
“Racism/diversity/Race Card” – Oh shit, someone pointed out that we have the diversity of a KKK Rally.

Good grief -- I had to stop halfway through because I was just too embarrassed for that poor imbecile. It was like watching a drunk puppy repeatedly walking into a wall.

People like her are the reason the Republican Party's imminent and well-deserved death has become so painfully lingering.

Andrew Sullivan is at it again, blaming Republican dishonesty about Obama on....Elizibeth Warren's smug elite liberal smugness.

Thank God we have Andrew to put those icky liberal women in their place, while scans Newsweek for his next political man-crush.

Here's a Mental Health Break of some cute kitsch my interns found on the Internet! Tee hee! Libs lose elections because they're smug!!

To be fair, I'd be careful about dismissing what's being said here, no matter how easy it is to disprove or how easy it is to knock her.

If I'm honest, part of me can't help wondering if she'd been fitted with a V-Chip to prevent her from saying "white people" when challenged on the "loving the country" meme.

Dogwhistle or not, this idea has legs and to mock it without refuting it is to play up to the stereotype that we're perceived as by the people like her.

I think this video should be submitted as proof that Sarah Palin has some sort of infectious logorrhea.

So many of these Teabaggers ramble on incoherently like they pounded a fifth of rubbing alcohol before rolling onstage, and I don't recall this being a common trait before 2008.
(My memory could be failing me, though).

It's in their writing, too. Here's Pierce quoting an Agenda 21 activist from Florida:

Why are we getting deluged with people who sound like derelicts babbling in the rear car of the subway?

Holy crap, what a trainwreck.

Still, I much prefer to see her on TV than the dogmatic centrists. (I had to deal with one of those over the weekend.) She's honest, dumb, exposes her movement, and refutes a dozen dogmatic centrists with her very presence.

Watching this woman processing and expressing the right wing bullshit propaganda fed to her is akin to hanging a 55 gallon clear garbage bag full of jello onto a tree and watching it shake when poked.

What the fuck! Why did CNN put this imbecille on air? Why am I even asking this question. Those guys are part of the problem. Instead of reporting the facts and calling out these domestic terrorists, they put out these flying jackasses to entertain the masses. And CNN can not understand why they are losing their credibility as a source of news? Go figure.

Even though I made a joke about this person, the situation isn't funny...it's tragic. A large amount of the electorate believes this crap.

Well well well -- what do we have here? Just another Tea Party Patriot/Libertarian Charlatan/Republican Moron. Surprise surprise.

Honestly, and this is getting repetitious but, no one on the Right is voting for Romney. They are all voting against Obama. Unless you are making $1 million a year, you shouldn't be voting for Romney. Obama has done quite a bit (if you ignore the civil liberties issues) with NO help from the GOP.

It has been out in the open for while that the GOP, and the parasites that have borg'd it, have no policy ideas, they have no legitimate gripe with Obama, and they have no way of articulating those perceived gripes without dog whistles. I especially liked the fact that that Tea Bagger was confused by that term; which if she honestly is confused, she should not be commenting on anything other than what a healthy poo her puggle took.

Bisham said...

Perhaps her inability to articulate even the most basic paranoid and false T-bag talking points was understood by CNN and was their attempt at a sinister sort of subversion against them. But probably not.

I watched the PBS coverage during/after Clinton's shredding of the GOP. I was quite taken by the look on DfB's face just after. He looked like he had had a big fat handful of Democratic veracity shoved up his ass all the way to his brain, and he was in the early stages of a centrist stroke.

I was going to comment about something else, which I probably will after this, but I must first compliment you on an EXCELLENT turn of phrase, whoever you are. (I like it so much better when someone creates a Blogger ID so I can see the lies they choose to tell about themselves.) It's a good thing I had not just drunk any liquid when I was reading these comments, because otherwise, my hospital would have needed to replace this keyboard. (Not a problem for me, because it's at the computer station in the shared conference room, so I would not be blamed...)

Anyway, DG, thanks for posting the clip of the babbling fat Teabagger woman. No one as fuzzy-minded with a leftish perspective would be allowed on CNN, although I think they have dim left-of-centre types on Fux deliberately to be Colmes-style punching bags. I don't think CNN was doing this for the irony value; it's just that they're self-itimidated into putting reich-wing dolts on for balance.

She sounds like so many of my relatives in the U.S. They babble, they ramble, they are unsure of their facts, the often interpret things completely backwards... And when I call them on it, they will deny the specific time-date-legislative act-news story citation facts that I have provided, because THEY did not personally read that news story, or it was published in the New York Times and they don't believe anything that was in a major publication when it conflicts with something they read in an anonymous mass-forwarded e-mail, or they weren't there on the legislative floor at the moment something happened in Congress, or at some distant point in history...

Facts mean nothing to these fuckers if it conflicts with their self-chosen belief system. It's like trying to talk someone out of their religion by using logic. It's why my wife and I gave up on the U.S. and got out while the gittin' was good. A moran's vote like that blonde sausage-woman's is equal to mine, and there are a lot like her. I have met and conversationally wrangled with conservatives in Australia and Canada. While I did not convert their viewpoints, they did a better job of justifying why they believed what they believed than pig-ignorant kkkonservative Amerikkkans do. For that, at least, I can respect the regressive Aussies and Canucks.

Unfortunately, a lot of our soft-left friends in the States are also squishy when it comes to logic and activism. They're just adrift, and they're supposed to be the good side. A rampant and dangerous right wing, vs. a slackadaisical left wing, means the U.S. is dead. I wish you luck there, dude.

I want CNN to put more people like this woman on the tv. It shows the (admittedly few) people watching exactly the ignorant shits the Tea Party really are.

From this raw example maybe any fence sitters will say I ain't voting for whatever party she likes.

It was beautiful watching that guy explain slowly and quietly what was meant from leading from behind in Libya. Or as the inbreeder put it, 'Syria or whatever, somewhere.'
