At Some Point

One more

is one too many (video may be be preceded by ad.)

But when someone is tripping over their dick this hard every single day

you would be hard pressed to figure out just which one was the tipping point.

First Dubya and now Mittwit tout the ER as a great fallback position for those without insurance. As stupid as it is, it's exponentially more stupid for the guy who brags about having put a healthcare reform policy in place as the fucking governor of Massachusetts to say "Um, we have ERs, so you're covered"... As Jon Stewart says, Obama is the luckiest dude on the planet!

If I hadn't just lived through eight years of Shrub doing it, I would say it was a diabolical plot to desensitize the public with increasingly stupid sound bites. Maybe they think if the compilation blooper reel is longer than the actual campaign, sensory outrage overload will just kick in....or maybe, as B.G. says, the guy just really doesn't want to be president.
Of course, it doesn't help when the media is so complicit.
Scott Pelley logical followup: "Governor, common sense and decency compels me to point out that the E.R.'s of this country are now clogged to the point of complete shut down, with corresponding costs skyrocketing, and states going bankrupt..precisely because of the most recent health care "solution" you now propose to inflict upon the nation. Would you care to elaborate...or should we just handcuff you to a chair in any emergency room in this country for the next three days?"

Umm, going to the ER is not "free". The hospital has to treat you even if you don't have insurance but there is nothing to prevent them from billing you too. But since most people in that position can't afford to pay the (obscenely huge) ER bill they end up filing bankruptcy then all the rest of us pay the bill through increased premiums. Thanks for the advice Mittster!

DG you have been on an incredible roll the last couple of days (OK the last several years too). Thank you!
