Are you sure that the dems have such a platform? Cuz, I think that many of them have lost their way and seem to have coopted the repub agenda. Is there any way we can replace the bad ones? Seems the way our pol system works is that we pay the corpratocracy (the RW MSM) with our dollars for ads (and they prefer the big money Rethug candidates) then they get fatter ands screw us some more.

We work in the dark and we do what we can, as the saying goes. Pols will move in the direction of maximum reward and away from the direction of maximum pain, and most (believe it or not) will try to use whatever principles they have as a rudder.
Politics is all about compromise, which is why activism is really important (to sharpen the pain/reward quotient) but half a loaf is all one can reasonably expect one cycle to the next.
The system will always move in one direction or another with maddening slowness (except when one party rules all, and even then internecene fighting will tap the brakes a little); our problem is, the system is pointed the wrong way.
This cycle we slow it down and start to turn it around. Next cycle, a little more.
And yes, we also need to weed out the Quisling Dems who actively work to fuck us over :-)
